Bernard is a Scottish man who traveled to New York by himself when he was 17 and has stayed there ever since. Additonally he is the owner of the "ABC and liquor" store across from "Palace Pleasures". Bernard and jimm-e began talking due to working in such close proximity to eachother, and after many nights out together, Jimm-e and Bernard developed a close friendship. The bond between the two men resulted in Bernard moving into jimm-e's apartment above the palace. Because of this, Bernard has been acquatinted with Marc and has treated him fairly. But, he often talks to him like a child, sometimes condescending and sometimes not meaning to.
